Join your
friends at the Montshire Museum of Science for our Science on Tap evening
events with drinks, casual conversations about contemporary topics in science
and society, and open exhibits. Science on Tap – Montshire After Hours events
are open to adults 21+ and include short presentations by guest speakers, open
exhibits, and a cash bar (wine and beer) provided by the Norwich Inn.
Dr.
Gibbons is a social psychologist whose work focuses on how risk behavior is
impacted by social and cultural influences. His research explores the link
between media, peers, race, and other influences. A Research Professor in the
Psychological and Brain Sciences Department at Dartmouth College, Dr Gibbons
and his lab group are currently collaborating with the Montshire to create new
middle school curriculum through the Museum’s National Institutes of Health
(NIH) sponsored health education initiative.
