
Shelburne Farms
Visit a nonprofit education center on a 1,400-acre working farm, forest, and National Historic Landmark. From mid-May to mid-October enjoy miles of walking trails, or take a tractor-drawn shuttle to the historic Farm Barn. There, you can watch award-winning farmhouse cheddar being made from the milk of our Brown Swiss cows; visit farm animals and participate in many daily farm activities at the Children's Farmyard; or enjoy a farm-grown local lunch at our Farm Cart.
Guided tours are also offered mid-May to mid-October:
- Property tours (three times daily);
- Sun to Cheese Tour (Fridays);
- Historic Barn Tour (Mondays),
- House and Formal Gardens Tour at the Inn (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Enjoy dinner, breakfast, or overnight stay at our historic Inn by reservation, mid-May to mid-October. Year-round opportunities include: Education programs, our Welcome Center and Farm Store, and walking trails (weather permitting). Please check our website for more information on all our offerings.
