Acceptance of 5 New VAA Members for 2014
The Vermont Attractions Association (VAA) announces the acceptance of five new members for 2014 that exemplify the qualities of a premier Vermont attraction under the Association’s criteria. The newest attractions qualifying for membership in VAA are Burlington Segways in Burlington, Northeast Kingdom Tasting Center in Newport, Edgewater Gallery in Middlebury, ClearLake Furniture in Ludlow, and Bennington Museum in Bennington.
Burlington Segways offers one- and two-hour Segway tours of the Burlington waterfront, the bike path, downtown and UVM.
Experience all the high quality foods and beverages produced in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom in one central market and culinary destination—the Northeast Kingdom Tasting Center on Main Street in Newport.
Edgewater Gallery hosts vibrant exhibitions from emerging and established artists, offering fine art, craft, jewelry and tableware. Lectures and monthly events contribute to the local culture of Middlebury.

The VAA, which is managed by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, was founded in 1957, and represents about 70 of Vermont’s finest family destinations. Focusing on education as a component of the visitor experience, VAA members meet high standards while offering unusual experiences in the areas of agricultural tourism, art, excursions, galleries, guided tours, history, museums, recreation, shopping, and specialty foods.
